Discover the Argolid

A campsite inside 8,000 years of history.

Our campsite sits at the foot of Barbouna hill, where Mycenaean vaulted tombs and the Temple of Apollo Pythaeus once stood. The acropolis of Ancient Asini — home of the famous "King of Asini" terracotta head and inspiration for Seferis's poem — is a five-minute walk away.

And just beyond your front gate: three UNESCO World Heritage sites, two of the Mediterranean's most beautiful gulfs, and a coastline shaped by Mycenaeans, Romans, Venetians and Italians in turn.

And the poet lingers, looking at the stones, and asks himself:
does there really exist, among these ruined lines, edges, points, hollows and curves, does there really exist here where one passes the rain, the wind, and the ruin — does there exist the movement of a face, the shape of a tenderness…

The Greek Paradise tavern at Xeni Camp Retreat
Our tavern

Greek Paradise — where everyone meets at sunset.

Olive oil, wine and herbs from our own fields. Mediterranean dishes from recipes passed down four generations. A long shared table under the pine trees, where guests become friends over moussaka, ouzo and slow conversation.
